Speak Pixels strives to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility. These guidelines cover a wide range of recommendations for making web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor impairments.

What We’re Doing

To improve the accessibility of the Speak Pixels website, we are working to:

• Provide descriptive alt text for all photographs and images
• Ensure sufficient color contrast between text and background elements
• Use clear, readable font sizes and logical heading structure throughout all pages
• Make all navigation and interactive elements keyboard-accessible
• Ensure all forms include visible labels and clear error messages
• Avoid flashing or strobing content that could trigger seizures
• Provide captions or transcripts for any video content added to the site

Known Limitations

While we are actively working toward full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, some areas of the website are still being improved. Known current limitations include:

• Some older portfolio images may not yet have complete alt text descriptions — this is being corrected on an ongoing basis
• Third-party embedded content (such as social media feeds) may not fully meet accessibility standards — these are outside our direct control
• Some decorative script fonts used in design elements may be difficult to read for some users — these are supplemented with plain-text equivalents wherever possible

The Speak Pixels website is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

• Screen readers (including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver)
• Keyboard-only navigation
• Browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
• High-contrast display modes
